Real Results from the Field
See how operators are using ZoneVu to improve execution, reduce risk, and better understand the subsurface.

Independent Oil & Gas Operator Prevents Wellbore Loss & Screen-Outs with ZoneVu®
Context: An independent operator working in the Austin Chalk and underlying Eagle Ford in South Texas — a prolific but geologically demanding play where high wellbore stress makes integrated pre-planning between geology and completions teams a prerequisite for successful frac execution.
Challenge: Complex Austin Chalk geology with high wellbore stress risk — and completions depending on getting it right.
Result: Eliminated screen-outs and wellbore loss through integrated pre-planning between geology and completions.
"ZoneVu helped us be more predictive with our fracs and avoid expensive problems because we understand the rock we're treating better."

Greenlake Energy: Precision U-Turn Drilling with ZoneVu®
Context: Greenlake Energy operates in the Delaware Basin and in early 2025 drilled six U-turn horizontal wells — horseshoe-shaped trajectories that maximize reservoir contact and reduce surface footprint, but demand accurate spatial control through acute build and turn sections where conventional 2D geosteering views fall short.
Challenge: Standard TVD and TVT projections cannot fully represent the true three-dimensional complexity of U-turn well paths. That gap — between what the display shows and where the bit actually is — creates real risk of reservoir exits, stuck pipe, BHA damage, and costly sidetracks in a basin with little tolerance for error.
Result: Six U-turn wells completed 11% under AFE on average. The first well came in 17% under AFE. The initial four wells were each drilled on a single BHA — a standout performance benchmark for the play — with fewer out-of-zone excursions and production on or above type curve.
"ZoneVu brought real-time geologic context and 3D clarity to every screen. It enabled our team to stay aligned and execute our technical strategies seamlessly."

"I didn't realize how critical the cloud-based structure of ZoneVu is. Being able to pop ZoneVu up at any point in time, anywhere I'm at, and flip through any geosteering interpretation I want to, has been truly game changing."
